TRIPLE DECKER DESIGN CHALLENGE & “CLEAN ENERGY LIVES HERE” CAMPAIGN

Beverly Craig explains MassCEC’s Triple Decker Design Challenge, a call for scalable models for decarbonizing triple decker buildings in Boston. This challenge includes scoring, voting, prizes, and a tool for builders.

Jacqueline Guyol introduces the “Clean Energy Lives Here” campaign targeted at raising awareness around building electrification. She discusses MassCEC’s promotional campaign along with ways everybody can join the effort.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS

Beverly Craig
Senior Program Manager, Low & Moderate Income Programs

Beverly Craig, LEED AP, manages the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center’s Low and Moderate Income programs including the Low Income Challenge Program and the Affordable Clean Residential Energy Program, which pairs installation of Air Source Heat Pumps with Solar PV in low income households. She also manages an incentive program for new construction affordable houses called the Passive House Design Challenge. Ms. Craig comes from a background in implementing energy efficiency and renewables at non-profit Homeowner’s Rehab Inc., which has reduced its affordable housing portfolio’s carbon footprint by 22% and installed nine PV systems and five solar hot water systems. Ms. Craig holds a BA from the University of Southern California and an MPP from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

 

Jacqueline Guyol
Program Administrator on the Clean Heating & Cooling team

Jacqueline Guyol is a Program Administrator, Building Decarbonization where she works on rebate programs, the community-based outreach program HeatSmart Mass, and supports other strategic initiatives on the team. She also works on MassCEC’s Triple Decker Design Competition and Clean Energy Lives Here, MassCEC’s public awareness campaign to educate homeowners about transitioning their home to clean energy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Environmental Studies from Hamilton College.
