Becoming a 1% for the Planet environmental partner expands opportunities for businesses committed to environmental stewardship to support this work and invest directly in solutions that create lasting impact.
Founded in 2002 by Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard and Blue Ribbon Flies founder Craig Mathews, 1% for the Planet connects businesses that commit to donating at least one percent of their annual sales with trusted environmental organizations making measurable change. Today, the network includes 11,689+ of business members and environmental partners across more than 110 countries, and members have directed more than $870 million to environmental initiatives worldwide. As the buildings sector accounts for about one third of global greenhouse gas emissions, transforming how we design, construct, operate, and renovate buildings is one of the greatest opportunities to address climate change.
