Unlocking Energy Savings: Mass Save Existing Building Commissioning

November 17 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Unlocking Energy Savings: Mass Save Existing Building Commissioning
Building Performance Exchange

About the Training

Does your building need a “tune up?” Commercial buildings rarely operate at peak performance over time. Changes in occupancy, operating schedules, and equipment performance can increase energy consumption and create comfort issues. The Mass Save® Existing Building Commissioning (EBCx) Offer can help you identify and correct these inefficiencies, optimizing existing building systems and delivering low-cost, measurable energy savings.

Join this webinar to learn how the Mass Save EBCx Offer can help you reduce energy use, improve occupant comfort, enhance equipment reliability, and support your long- term building performance goals. We’ll provide an overview of the EBCx process, eligibility requirements, available incentives, and the role of Qualified Service Providers (QSPs) in identifying and implementing operational improvements. We’ll also help you
understand which types of buildings make strong candidates for EBCx, and what types of improvements are typically uncovered through commissioning, such as building controls optimization, sensor calibration, and equipment repairs.

This webinar is designed for commercial building owners and operators seeking to reduce operating costs, comply with emerging building performance standards, or advance sustainability and decarbonization goals. Consultants, commissioning providers, municipalities, and other building stakeholders will also benefit from a clearer understanding of how EBCx projects are funded and delivered through Mass Save.

This is a live, online webinar led by Jennifer Marrapese, Program Manager at Resource Innovations.

Erin Camp

Jennifer Marrapese joined Resource Innovations in December 2025 as Program Manager for the Mass Save EBCx offer, which focuses on helping businesses and municipalities optimize their buildings’ performance through low-cost “tune ups.” She brings more than 15 years of experience in energy efficiency, having served most recently as Senior Director, Programs and Strategy for Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP), and before that as Executive Director of Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA). She holds a Juris Doctor from University of California, and currently serves on the board of CET (Center for EcoTechnology).

Learning Objectives

2. Determine whether your building is likely to qualify for EBCx incentives to offset study and implementation costs.
3. Describe the major phases of an EBCx project, from qualification and investigation through implementation, verification and customer handoff.
4. Learn about the range of potential savings associated with EBCx projects for different building types.
