Phius Certified Rater Training
August 29th, and 30th
Phius Certified Raters focus on single-family residential projects. The course is geared toward experienced RESNET and BPI professionals, and provides grounding in passive building principles as well as a guide to onsite quality assurance for the Phius Certification program. This training is delivered live, online over two days. Each session is four hours. Approximately 8 hours of self-guided material is provided before the first session for review. Training is open to all. Knowledge of HERs rating practices, and experience with Energy Star Homes, Indoor airPLUS and DOE ZERH Programs is helpful. Those who wish to pursue certification after training must meet the certification exam prerequisites, apply for the certification exam, and be approved to complete the exam.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will gain the knowledge needed to:
Identify Phius design strategies
Identify Phius mechanical/ventilation systems
Perform on-site QA and integration of prerequisite programs; Energy Star Homes, Indoor airPLUS and DOE ZERH
Perform site inspection and testing protocols and Phius Certification deliverables
Submit a Phius project for certification

Express Grant Eligibility
Employers with 100 or fewer Massachusetts employees are eligible to receive Express Program grants. In order to be eligible for Express Program grant reimbursement, an Express Program grant application must be submitted no fewer than 21 days before the live-session start date, and you must register for the course through BE+, not Phius.
