Carbon & Energy Roundtable

May 16 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Carbon & Energy Roundtable

Join the BE+ Carbon and Energy Roundtable, a venue for architects, designers, construction managers, and sustainability professionals to discuss issues related to carbon and energy in buildings.

May 16th @ 3:00 – 4:00 PM

TOPIC: Envelope Derating Office Hours
As we delve into the intricacies of the 2023 MA Stretch Code’s new requirements for thermal envelope performance, it’s important to consider key questions: Who should be part of our team to navigate these changes effectively? When is the best time to conduct these calculations? And what insights can we gain from others’ experiences with envelope submissions? Our upcoming roundtable discussion, moderated by Joelle Jahn (JB&B Deep Carbon Reduction), will adopt an office hour style format with enclosure consulting experts Andrew Steingiser (RDH), Alex Barmas (Socotec) and Matt Colturi (SGH), focusing on topics like envelope derating, thermal bridge requirements, assembly ratings, effective U/R values, and strategies for compliance.

Reach out to carbonenergy@builtenvironmentplus.org with any inquiries, questions, or concerns.

Roundtables are FREE for Built Environment Plus Members.
