Anurag Goel and Dr. Marwa Zaatari of enVerid Systems will be presenting on LEED Pilot Credit 124 – Performance-Based Indoor Air Quality Design & Assessment and the ASHRAE 62.1 – Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP).
Instead of continuously replacing indoor air with outside air to expel indoor-generated contaminants and manage indoor air quality (IAQ), indoor air can be cleaned using regenerative sorbents. By cleansing the indoor air, sorbent-based air cleaning minimizes the amount of outside air required (by 60-80% versus VRP) to maintain IAQ, thereby reducing the load on HVAC systems and achieving double-digit energy savings.
enVerid’s HVAC Load Reduction (HLR) technology uses patented molecular air cleaning sorbents in compliance with LEED Pilot Credit 124, ASHRAE 62.1 IAQP, and ASHRAE 145.2, in lieu of outdated, inefficient, and costly ventilation methods in compliance with ASHRAE 62.1 Ventilation Rate Procedure (VRP).
