In April 2025, the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) launched LEED v5, the latest version of the LEED green building program. Join this free, 1-hour interactive lunchtime webinar to help your team understand the key updates, strategies, and certification pathways, especially those that align with the MA energy codes, to navigate LEED v5 with clarity and confidence.
The Phius Certified Builder Certification is for tradespeople and construction professionals with field experience in construction and/or high performance building. This training prepares construction professionals to understand passive building techniques — airtight enclosures, high-performance window installation, passive design strategies, field quality assurance, and site management. For a project pursuing Phius Certification, these professionals ensure the building is built and operating to the plans and specifications. They are responsible for executing air-sealing and thermal bridge mitigation.
This training is intended for Architects and Engineers. CPHCs learn to design to the Phius Certification climate-specific building standard. Projects earning Phius certifications (Phius CORE, Phius ZERO and Phius REVIVE) follow RESNET QA/QC protocols and achieve excellent HERS scores, US Department of Energy Zero Energy Ready Home status, and adhere to EPA indoor airPLUS requirements.
Join the BE+ Carbon and Energy Roundtable, a venue for architects, designers, construction managers, and sustainability professionals to discuss issues related to carbon and energy in buildings.
The BE+ Emerging Professionals is a community of ascending professionals across the green building industry and allied fields helping drive sustainable and regenerative design, construction, and operation of the built environment.
Join the BE+ Health and Wellness Roundtable, a venue for architects, designers, construction managers, and sustainability professionals to discuss issues related to healthy buildings.
This course covers the 225 CMR 23.00 MA Commercial Stretch and Opt-in Specialized energy codes applicable from July 1, 2023 and including February 2025 updates. The presentation encompasses the different pathways available for code compliance, requirements for each section (envelope, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical), and an overview of how the different components work together. Participants will also learn how the Fossil Fuel Free Pilot communities program may use the Stretch Code as a tool to help meet building performance and electrification goals. This course is intended for all building industry professionals, including but not limited to architects, engineers, consultants, modelers, developers, owners, and contractors.
Building Tech Forum 2025 is a series of 45 x 5-minute lightning talks where industry leaders present practical innovations accelerating the sustainable and regenerative design, construction and operation of the built environment.
All presenters are then available at networking tables to connect and explore the future of building science and the collaborative potential of the moment.
This two-part training is intended for new construction and existing building alterations and additions following the 225 CMR 23.00 Commercial Stretch Energy Code. Case studies and real-world calculation examples will reinforce key concepts, and attendees will apply their knowledge through hands-on exercises with a sample project.

Join the BE+ Decarbonize Existing Buildings Alliance hosted monthly roundtable, a venue for architects, designers, construction managers, and sustainability professionals to discuss issues related to decarbonizing existing buildings.
Join the BE+ Living Future Roundtable, a venue for architects, designers, construction managers, and sustainability professionals to discuss topics and issues related to International Living Future Institute (ILFI) programs.
The training will review the method and best practices of conducting a Thermal Energy Demand Intensity (TEDI) model as required for compliance with the Stretch Energy Code. Case studies and lessons learned from permitted buildings will be used to demonstrate model results and balance adjustments to design through the design process to reach a final compliant model.
In this workshop, participants will learn key product sustainability metrics and how to identify products and materials that are better for the environment and building occupants. The workshop will highlight the trends and the tools available to find and select healthier products, including: Health Product Declarations (HPDs), Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), transparency, Declare labels, Cradle to Cradle certification, low-emitting materials, and low-embodied-carbon materials.
