Community Stewardship
Our communities are the heart of the organization.
BE+ convenes professionals around topics of interests determined by our members. These communities host regular roundtables that bring together industry leaders and aspiring leaders. The roundtables serve to connect people, share successes and overcome obstacles.
In addition to roundtables, the communities host social events and organize informative events to educate the broader AEC industry throughout the year. As well, the communities inform BE+’s robust educational training curriculum. Each community aligns with one of BE+’s premier annual events.
Support BE+ Communities by becoming a Steward of one or more BE+ Communities. Stewardship includes sponsorship of the Community’s associated Premier Event. All stewardship levels include putting your logo on all Community hosted events, a linked logo on the Community’s website, and the contact information for other stewards.
Community Stewardship is discounted 50% for Company Members or for the first year.

Throughout the year the AEC industry convenes at events hosted and informed by our BE+ Communities. These events engage all pillars of our organization and are crucial in driving our shared mission. By becoming a Sponsor, your business is demonstrating leadership in the green building industry and connecting with a regional network of green building professionals.
The work we do is hard. BE+ premier events are designed to take a step back and celebrate our collective progress pushing the industry forward. Event sponsorship demonstrates your leadership while providing critical funds for BE+ to accelerate the regenerative design, construction, and operation of the built environment.
Our biggest and most impactful event of the year! The Built Environment Plus community gathers at the Green Building Showcase to celebrate industry success in greening the built environment. The evening consists of a cocktail reception in a showcase of project boards, short presentations and discussions, and is capped with the Awards Program.
This digital scavenger hunt is the perfect opportunity to celebrate Earth Day while engaging green building practitioners and enthusiasts around the world. Participants have fun exploring and learning about the sustainability of the built environment through photo, video, and text-based missions. Participants creatively complete as many missions as they can for the chance to win prizes and awards!
The BE+ Building Tech Forum is a series of 5-minute lightning talks where industry leaders present the latest innovations in building technology accelerating the sustainable and regenerative design, construction and operation of the built environment. All presenters are then available at networking tables for exciting conversations over food and drinks about the future of building science and the collaborative potential of the moment.
At the Living Future New England JUST Celebration we acknowledge organizations in our community who have taken the next step towards transparency in becoming a socially equitable and diverse business. We celebrate the accomplishments of some hard-working organizations, hear what it takes for organizations to achieve the Just Label, understand the value of going through the Just process, and what companies are learning in the process.
At BE+ Design for People we demand Green Buildings for All = Embracing the built environment as a leverage point for a healthy, diverse, equitable, and inclusive society. True sustainability requires a triple-bottom line of meeting the social, economic, and environmental needs of current and future generations. Join the leaders elevating the design field as we address important questions.
The BE+ Green Building Bike Tour get us out and about to see the local changes in the built environment first hand. Every year, a new route is planned curating a selection of projects by local architecture and engineering firms to view their efforts in creating a more sustainable built environment. Guest speakers, food and beverages, and a bit of fun exercise included.
Women are driving the sustainability of the built environment. We are tasked with the most important mission of all: healing the earth. The Women in Green Roundtable creates opportunities for women to thrive in this work and to raise each other up. Once a year we get together for a larger celebration of powerful women reimagining and reshaping our world.
