It’s that time of the year again, when we all come together to celebrate the volunteers, members, and successes that make our USGBC MA community amazing! We’re ringing in the new year with food and drinks and an awards ceremony for our members, as well as wrapping up voting for the Board of Directors and the organizational name change.

This past year we have accomplished a lot together, such as advocating for zero energy policies, launching inaugural conference Design 4 People, and awarding King Open/Cambridge Street Upper Schools & Community Complex the title of 2019 Green Building of the Year at our Green Building Showcase.

The Annual General Meeting is also when we conclude two voting sessions: the 2020 Board of Director’s election and the vote for changing the organizational name to “Built Environment Plus”. Voting is limited to USGBC MA members only and will occur at the Annual General Meeting on January 28th, beginning at 6:00 PM. In order for the organizational name change to occur, two-thirds of our current members must vote in favor of this change. Proxy ballots for both votes will be sent by email to all members on January 13th. More information will be released soon about the nature of the organizational name change.

The evening will conclude with an announcement about the results of both voting sessions.
