Living Future Roundtable

February 5 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Living Future Roundtable

Join the BE+ Living Future Roundtable, a venue for architects, designers, construction managers, and sustainability professionals to discuss topics and issues related to International Living Future Institute (ILFI) programs.

Topic: Meeting the Moment in Community (Framing from We are the Great Turning)

To kick off 2026, the Living Futures Community will draw inspiration from “We Are the Great Turning,” a podcast devoted to how to live with our hearts and integrity intact during this time of global crisis. Laurel Chadzynski and Nicole Voss will assist in facilitating the discussion through the “spiral of the Work that Reconnects.” We will begin by grounding ourselves in community through gratitude, and then honor our pain in order to see the world with new eyes. Our reflections will guide us in going forth by cultivating a shared vision for a just, sustainable, and optimistic future.

Nicole Voss, AIA, LEED BD+C, WELL AP is the Director of Sustainability and an Associate Principle at isgenuity, which is a mission-driven architectural firm focused on contributing to humanity in ways that demonstrate a commitment to equity and sustainability. Nicole is dedicated to advancing environmental justice through the firm’s work in healthcare, higher education, and science & tech. Nicole is also focused on systematically reducing greenhouse gas emissions associated with the built environment in her role as a co-chair of the CLF Boston / Northeast Hub, and she champions regenerative design as part of the New England Living Futures Community.

As a licensed Architect trained in Lean thinking with a passion for materials, Laurel Chadzynski consistently encourages designers and project teams to consider the wide-ranging impacts of their design and project management decisions. Her work lies at the intersection of projects, organizations, and networks. She believes in the power of community and collective action to effect systems change, and convenes hundreds of the industry’s leading sustainable design practitioners through the Green Commons’ Peer Networks. Through her practice Loom and Lever she weaves together diverse stakeholders to find leverage points for positive change using facilitation and cohort-based learning programs to spark more holistic thinking in the field of design.
