Health & Wellness and Emerging Professionals Building Tour – Foundation Medicine

Better Together: Inside Foundation Medicine’s Vertical Campus in the Seaport
Time: 5:30pm – 6:30pm | Location: 400 Summer Street, Boston, MA 02210 | Happy Hour: Trillium-Fort Point from 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Join us for a tour of Foundation Medicine’s 16-story headquarters in Boston’s Seaport—a vertical campus that brings together scientists and administrative teams in one connected workplace.
The 600,000-square-foot building was designed to foster community and well-being, with interconnecting stairs that encourage movement, abundant daylight, an outdoor terrace, and spaces for gathering and collaboration. Employees also enjoy a café, winter garden, fitness center, and an employee art gallery.
Sustainability is central to the project, which achieved LEED-CI v4 Platinum certification and is pursuing Fitwel certification. Strategies include triple-glazed windows for energy efficiency and comfort, resource-conserving systems, and 100% of the building’s operational electricity generated from certified renewable resources.
This tour, eligible for 1 AIA HSW credit, offers a first-hand look at how thoughtful, sustainable design can shape a dynamic workplace that supports both people and purpose. Once the tour concludes, we will gather for some drinks, networking, and fun! Location is Trillium-Fort Point in Seaport.
