Bee the Trees
Join the Living Future Community in examining and participating in the built/ecosystem interface at Wellesley College.
Come be the trees! Wellesley College hosts a number of ecosystems and landscape systems across it’s campus. Kristina Jones will lead us on a tour of several key landscapes, including an edible landscape, and several landscapes associated with their new (and aiming for Petal Certification) Botanic Garden center.
– Gather at the Wellesley College Botanic Garden
– Introduction by Living Future Community facilitators
– Intro by Kristina Jones, Director of the Botanic Garden
– Walking tour of the edible landscape at Wellesley
– Walking tour of the new Botanic Garden building (by Kennedy & Violich)
– Discussion of biophilia and the built/landscape interface
– Closing and retire to local coffee shop for snacks and discussion!
