The framework places greater emphasis on decarbonization\, climate resilience\, human health\, and measurable building performance. It will affect how AEC teams and building owners and operators approach project delivery and operations moving forward. \nThe LEED Green Associate or LEED Accredited Professional (AP) distinguishes those with advanced knowledge in green building principles and LEED rating systems. Professional experience on LEED projects is strongly recommended for the LEED AP credential. \nWith the transition to LEED v5 exams\, and its renewed emphasis on high-performance building standards\, it’s a good time to think about your credentials. \n• The LEED Green Associate v4 exam retired on April 26\, 2026. The v5 beta exam launched April 28\, 2026.• The LEED Advanced Professional (AP) v4 exam retires on June 28\, 2026.
