SUMMARY:Carbon & Energy Roundtable
DESCRIPTION:Join the BE+ Carbon and Energy Roundtable\, a venue for architects\, designers\, construction managers\, and sustainability professionals to discuss issues related to carbon and energy in buildings.\nTopic: Renewable Energy: Completing the Net Zero EquationA low energy use building is just one side of the net zero equation. Generating renewable energy completes the equation. This roundtable will feature two recently adopted legislative and regulatory policies in Massachusetts. In December 2024\, An Act Promoting A Clean Energy Grid was signed into law and has multiple provisions related to siting and developing clean energy projects. In January\, Boston adopted Net Zero Carbon Zoning\, which requires certain new construction and addition projects to achieve net zero with multiple options for the renewables component. Please\, join this roundtable to learn about and discuss these two policies as well as renewable siting and procurement options in Massachusetts. \nReach out to carbonenergy@builtenvironmentplus.org with any inquiries\, questions\, or concerns. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Roundtables are FREE for Built Environment Plus Members. \nNew to the Roundtables?
