SUMMARY:BE+ Bike Tour 2022
DESCRIPTION:Grab a bike and join us for the 2022 BE+ Bike Tour!\nThis year\, we will be touring from South Boston to the Seaport\, following the coastline to explore the area’s emerging environmental design\, development\, and ecological significance. Coastal ecosystems are rich resources that provide flood protection\, carbon sequestration\, and major social/economic benefits. Because of these unique and highly valuable resources\, building along the coast requires a careful plan and future-oriented design. With this tour\, we want to highlight some of the City of Boston and local architecture and engineering firms’ efforts to strike a balance between growing development and resiliency\, while working to preserve ecosystems and communities alike. Nature needs us\, and we need nature. \nIn the meantime\, while we finalize the details and launch registration\, be sure to hold the date with your friends and family\, and check back here soon for the published route and stops. The BE+ Bike Tour is hosted by the BE+ Emerging Professionals Community. \nHere are three things to know now: \n\nRiders can congregate at the marked point along the harbor walk. The start is conveniently located a tenth mile from the JFK station and a short walk from the UMass Campus West Parking Garage.
